Orca AI
Bridge situational-awareness system that uses computer vision to help watchkeepers detect collision risks.
About
Orca AI installs on the bridge and uses cameras and computer vision to detect targets and warn the watch about collision risk, including small craft and objects that radar alone handles poorly. It is an aid to the officer of the watch, not an autonomous navigation system and not a type-approved ECDIS replacement.
Safety and navigation buyers evaluate it against other bridge-vision products, not against fleet-management suites. It produces alerts and a recorded picture of the watch. It does not plan the commercial voyage or manage crew certificates.
Features
- Camera-based target detection on the bridge
- Collision-risk alerts for the watch
- Aid to the officer of the watch, not an ECDIS
